Castle Dawn Aquatics bamboo essential minerals activated carbon has a high density of micro-pores, allowing for the optimum removal of discolouration, odours and organic impurities from the aquarium. 

We use genuine dragon bamboo (Dendrocalamus Bambusa) for its unique ability to not only absorb impurities from the water like wood or coal activated carbon but also releases minerals into the water such as potassium, sodium, calcium, and iron, all essential for fish, shrimp and plant development.

Note: Aquarium carbon helps remove contaminants, tannins and if needed medications from aquarium water. Carbon can effectively act as biological media due to its porous structure, however, carbon is NOT an instant solution for poor water quality. Carbon can NOT remove ammonia or nitrate despite claims of certain carbon products.
